847 can no longer be viewed and enjoyed in traffic. She has been withdrawn for overhaul. She sports Maunsells' olive green livery, that that she initially had in 1936. She pulled a society special as her last train on the 6th October 1997. Society members have made a start on stripping the engine in anticipation of the Bluebell workshops impending overhaul. This over haul i now underway and its progress can be charted on the present project page.
